Making the 2016 Inc 5000
Today the Inc 5000 list for 2016 was released composed of the fastest growing companies in America and for the 4th consecutive year, we’re listed.
Each year, I’m proud and excited to have made the list but I tend to quickly move to anxiousness about pace, next objectives, bigger goals and so forth.
For me, earning a spot on the Inc 5000 list isn’t about taking time to feel great about our accomplishments or how great we are… rather it’s an indicator of what’s working well and it’s a time for us to look at what isn’t or where we can do better and also plan for what we need to do in order to make the list again and again while scaling our agency.
Sustainable growth and methodical progress with an unrelenting focus on the future vision and goals are really the things that are important to me.
I’ve seen many companies flare up with epic growth and then crash and burn in the following years and that simply isn’t our model. We’re playing the long game and we’re utterly focused on building a solid foundation that grows consistently.
I think every company to some degree is trying to figure out how to scale and what that means or what’s involved in pulling that off. This is different for everyone but typically it’s a consistent theme among growth companies and we’re certainly no different.
I’m very proud of the company and team we’ve built that’s accomplished this list for the last 4 years but the greatest joy I get from making this list is the invigorated purpose and drive for what’s to come next.
